James Coppinger
James Coppinger is a former professional footballer whose remarkable career spanned over two decades. He began his journey at Newcastle United, where he was handed his Premier League debut by the legendary Sir Bobby Robson.
James went on to play for Exeter City and Hartlepool United, before making history during an incredible 17-year spell at Doncaster Rovers. With 695 appearances, he holds the record as the club’s all-time appearance leader — a true club legend.
Since retiring in 2021, James has become widely respected as a first-class mentor, working with hundreds of professional and aspiring footballers across all levels of the game.
He is currently a First Team Coach at League One side Doncaster Rovers and is in the process of completing his UEFA A License.
James brings elite-level insight, experience, and passion to every session — inspiring the next generation of players both on and off the pitch.
Lenny Reed
Lenny Reed brings over 5 years of experience from Middlesbrough Football Club, where he works as a Pre-Academy Coach and Scout, focusing on identifying and developing young talent at the grassroots level.
His passion lies in early player development, with a clear emphasis on building strong technical skills, developing game intelligence, and fostering the right mindset for long-term success.
Lenny’s approach is player-centred, ensuring every child feels supported, challenged, and motivated.
Whether on the pitch or in a mentoring role, Lenny is committed to creating a positive learning environment where young players can grow with confidence and purpose.
