Where We Started

ProMindset Academy was born from real experiences inside the professional game and a simple realisation:
football trains everything except the thing that matters most - mindset and mentality.

Everyone talked about mentality.
Everyone agreed it was important.
But almost nobody taught players how to actually
develop it.

ProMindset was created to close that gap - to give footballers the practical tools, skills and support they’ve been missing for years. Mentality isn’t something you either “have or don’t have.” It’s something you can train. And we’re here to show players, parents and coaches exactly how.

From Premier League to ProMindset.

Watch James Coppinger share the story behind ProMindset in this Sky Sports interview - from his 20-year professional career to the moment he realised football needed better support for players, parents and coaches.

WHAT WE SEE IN FOOTBALL

PLAYERS having the talent but lacking self-belief, confidence and the mental skills needed to become consistent.

PARENTS desperate to support their young footballer on their journey, but not being given the tools to best understand the process, how to help and how to create the best possible environment and network for their child.

COACHES trying their best without a clear framework, and clubs watching their players fall behind because mindset development simply wasn’t part of the system.

ProMindset Academy is the missing piece on so many journeys.

INTRODUCING THE

PMA Framework

The PMA Framework was created to give footballers the mental skills needed to perform at their best. It covers:

Self Awareness & Accountability

Self-Belief & Confidence

Resilience & Courage

Leadership & Communication

Teamwork & Consistency

How we Support Footballers, Parents & Coaches

We Teach Players the Mental Skills They’re Never Taught. Confidence tools, emotional control, self-talk, focus, preparation and resilience - practical skills players use every day.

We Support Parents With Guidance, Clarity and Confidence. No more guessing, worrying or feeling unsure. We help parents understand how to support without adding pressure.

We Give Coaches and Clubs a Clear Framework for Player Wellbeing. Workshops, language, tools and structures that create healthier, stronger and more confident environments.

Whether you’re starting out at grassroots or competing at the highest level, ProMindset Academy is here to support the people behind the game - players, parents and coaches.
